Project Marine Coordinator

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marine Operations, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 10 years’ experience in marine, including oil and gas sectors.
• Preferably former Master Mariner or other senior maritime position; with QatarEnergy LNG marine operations experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in survey vessel operations, including geophysical, geotechnical or environmental campaigns.
• Understand Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessel operations and limitations.
• Marine traffic tracking systems: AIS, MarineTraffic, Seamech
• STCW Certificate of Competency – Master unlimited
• Offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET/T-BOSIET); OPITO-approved H2S training
• Marine Environmental Awareness (MEA) & MARPOL
• VHF Radio Operator Certification
• DP Awareness or DP Operator Certificate
• Project Management Certification
• Experience coordinating with QatarEnergy, Ras Laffan, and Qatar Ports / Customs authorities
• Proven record of coordinating 3D seismic operations (towed streamer / OBN)
• Understanding of seismic spread limitations, array turning circles, and streamer handling
• Familiarity with marine exclusion zones, shot/receiver line layout, and standby/escort procedures
• Liaison experience with national authorities, port agents, and coastal coordination centers
