Material and Inventory Planner

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Material and Inventory Planner role in Forest Grove, OR . Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate material requirements to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze usage trends and forecast material needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Track key inventory and planning metrics and report findings to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and inventory processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory planning, materials management, production planning, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
