Material and Inventory Planner
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Material and Inventory Planner role in Forest Grove, OR . - Plan and coordinate material requirements to support production schedules and customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Analyze usage trends and forecast material needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or inventory management systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Track key inventory and planning metrics and report findings to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and inventory processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory planning, materials management, production planning, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
