Key Responsibilities:1. Material Handling & Inventory Control
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs and/or inventory management systems.
2. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain records such as:
- Material Receiving Reports (MRR)
- Material Issue Vouchers (MIV)
- Stock registers and bin cards
- Update inventory databases and generate daily/weekly stock reports.
- Report material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the relevant departments.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and construction teams for material requests and deliveries.
- Ensure timely issuance of materials to site based on approved Material Request Forms (MRFs).
- Liaise with quality control for material inspections and approvals.
4. Warehouse Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures for material handling, stacking, and storage.
- Monitor shelf life and storage conditions for sensitive or perishable items.
5. Support for Audits & Handover
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records.
- Support the preparation of material handover documentation for project closeout.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in warehouse or inventory management is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or material control roles within construction, utility, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with electrical, telecom, or control system materials is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Fluent in English and local languages (Urdu and/or regional dialects).
