The Customer/Material Coordinator position plays a crucial role in supporting the organization by obtaining analyzing and verifying the accuracy of information in a timely matter. Communicate with customers, work closely with Production Planner, and carries to fulfil customer releases/orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and evaluate date from customer releases, orders and assist in preparing forecasts.
- Enter manual sales orders in Epicor.
- Provide and manage lead time quotations to customers.
- Proactive problem solving with internal and external customers.
- Understand and provide customer forecasts to Production Planner for raw material ordering.
- Support Program Management with any engineering changes and/or new launches.
- Coordinate routing changes with customer traffic representatives.
- Maintain all required customer communications tolls, such as customer portals, supplier requirement updates, bulletin notification, etc.
- Maintain EDI and ASN file maintenance records.
- Coordinate shipment requirements with the shipping department and provide the paperwork, barcode labels, and any specific requirements on customer shipments.
- Manage raw material inventory by performing cycle counts bi-weekly and resolve discrepancies to avoid material shortages.
- Manage Finished Goods inventory by performing cycle counts weekly and resolve discrepancies quickly to avoid missed shipments.
- Communicate and resolve shipment discrepancies with customers.
- Trach and submit premium freight approvals.
- Create and review reports: Inventory transfers,
- Manage inbound returnable dunnage.
- Prepare various reports for management including weekly shipping performance, monthly customer shipment on time deliveries, inventory discrepancies, premium freight inbound/outbound shipments and any other performance metrics.
- Any other job duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred.
- Two years customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in customer service in manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- High proficiency with Microsoft based programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Ability to complete data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Minimum two years of experience in inventory management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
