Material Coordinator - Industrial Fabrication

Overview:

Responsible for complete material management of the Strain Road Pipe Fabrication Division.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Management on material expediting
• Check drafting package against material orders for shorts prior to fabrication
• Verify materials received complies with customer specifications and AML
• Issue nonconformance on materials that are out of compliance
• Manage the processes and personnel for receiving/shipping of material
• Perform final material checks prior to material release for fabrication
• Manage material release process for fabrication
• Order material shorts as needed.
• Manage the administrative process for processing all receiving tickets and associated MTRs
• Maintain safe indoor and outdoor material areas
• Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures.
• Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately.
• Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately.

Qualifications:

• Able to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Some knowledge of pipe fabrication
• Professional ability to work well with client personnel
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proven organizational skills
• 5 years of related industry experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
