Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Material Inspector to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role focuses on inspecting and verifying all construction materials related to wet and dry utilities, roadworks, and related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and local authority regulations (TAQA, ADM, etc.).
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Conduct inspections of materials delivered to site (e.g., concrete, asphalt, pipes, valves, manholes, cables, aggregates, backfilling material) to ensure compliance with approved material submittals, technical specifications, and local standards.

Verify that all materials used on-site have valid and approved delivery notes, test certificates, and compliance documents.

Monitor storage and handling of materials on-site to prevent contamination, degradation, or damage.

Witness or review laboratory and on-site material testing (e.g., compaction tests, concrete cube tests, asphalt core tests, FDT, slump tests).

Support the QA/QC Engineer and Materials Engineer in reviewing and maintaining material submittals, test reports, and compliance documentation.

Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories and review results to ensure they align with project and authority requirements.

Maintain accurate records of all material inspections, test reports, approvals, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

Report any non-compliance in materials or procedures to the QA/QC Engineer or Resident Engineer.

Assist in compiling the material-related handover documentation for final project submission and close-out.

Ensure adherence to Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) and other local authority (TAQA) material standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years of work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Relevant experience in material inspection within roads and infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
Strong understanding of materials used in infrastructure projects, including aggregates, asphalt, concrete, pipes, manholes, valves, fittings, backfilling materials, etc.
Familiarity with TAQA, ADM, and other Abu Dhabi authority specifications and quality requirements.
Experience in witnessing and reviewing laboratory and field tests (e.g., compaction, slump test, concrete cube, asphalt core, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and material datasheets.
Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
Good communication and coordination skills with site teams and laboratories.
