Position Overview

Parsons Corporation is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Material Inspector to join its infrastructure supervision team in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and verification of construction materials used in major infrastructure projects to ensure strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved sources.

Key Responsibilities


* Supervise all material sampling and testing activities on site to verify compliance with contract specifications.
* Witness third-party and in-situ material testing for concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soils, and other construction materials.
* Review laboratory reports and verify test results against project acceptance criteria.
* Coordinate closely with the Work Inspectors to ensure testing schedules align with construction progress.
* Perform random material checks and inspections upon delivery to confirm conformity with approved suppliers and sources.
* Prepare and maintain accurate test records, inspection logs, and daily reports.
* Assist the Senior Materials Engineer and Senior Work Inspector (Materials) in the review and approval of submittals, test plans, and method statements.
* Ensure all site materials meet the approved quality standards before use in construction.
* Participate in quality audits and help enforce project-specific QA/QC procedures.
* Identify non-conforming materials and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
* Maintain effective communication with contractors, laboratories, and project engineers to support quality objectives.

Ideal Profile

* Diploma in Civil Engineering or related technical field with at least 5 years of experience in material inspection.
* Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in road and bridge projects preferred.
* Proven background in construction material testing, including concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and soils.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.
* Fully computer literate and capable of preparing detailed QA/QC documentation and test reports.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to enforce material compliance and quality standards.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
