Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Management Specialist to oversee the efficient handling, storage, and inventory of materials within our warehouse operations. This role is vital in ensuring that all materials are accurately received, unloaded, labeled and stored according to safety standards and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers, have previous experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, and demonstrate excellent warehouse management skills. Duties

• Coordinate warehouse activities, including loading and unloading shipments with heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
• Utilize material management software systems to accurately track inventory and process order picking tasks
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment like cranes and clamps to move slab stone material
• Supervise order picker operations and ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards across all warehouse activities
• Oversee materials handling procedures, including stacking, storage, and retrieval of goods in accordance with mechanical knowledge and safety protocols
• Support warehouse supervisor responsibilities by maintaining organized inventory records and assisting in workflow optimization

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling roles
• Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety systems
• Friendly verbal communication skills to assist consumers with viewing materials
• Prior experience in construction or heavy equipment operation is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations
• Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership skills are advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
