Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Supply Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing inventory levels, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring seamless materials handling to support production and operational efficiency. Your proactive approach will help optimize supply chain processes and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle, move, and deliver materials such as pipe, fittings, vent, valves, insulation, and raw metal products
• Transport materials to open areas, confined spaces, and elevated locations onboard ship
• Pick, stage, and store materials using established material storage and picking systems
• Read tape measures and rulers to verify material sizes
• Operate industrial saws (training provided if needed)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide customer-focused support to production teams

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to walk, climb, crawl, bend, squat, stoop, and stand for 8-hour shifts
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Able to work in varying environmental conditions

Required Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Reliable, dependable, and safety-minded
• Energetic with a strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift operator experience
• Experience handling industrial or shipyard materials
• Experience working with raw metal products

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.66 - $27.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 80 per week
