Material / Technical Engineer for Structural Steel

Qualification

BSC in Civil/Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

7- 10 years of experience in the steel industry.

Estimation / Tender Dept.

Good understanding & reviewing Project Specification and preparing summary .

Advising the Estimation Dept. for use of material grades and paint system to follow.

Checking Project Specification for any QA/QC related testing and other inspections.

Checking the technical specifications provided in supplier quotation.

Preparing estimation for Miscellaneous Works and Cladding Works.

Awarded/Ongoing Projects

Preparing Prequalification, Material Submittals, Samples, Method Statements, ITP & Risk assessments.

Official submission of all technical documents like design calculation, shop drawings, Prequalification, Material Submittals, Samples, Method Statements, ITP & Risk assessments and follow up for approval using various platforms like ACONEX and other portals.

Preparing Technical RFI’s and follow up.

Checking the Suppliers material submittals, drawings and variations

Point of Contact (for technical) for the client and Technical Co-ordination between our team and client. Also for any site related technical issues during execution of works.

Attending Technical meetings with clients.

Close-out of documents for completed or ongoing projects

Other Works

QA/QC co-ordination related to materials and projects.

Attend and prepare documents for External Audits like ISO, BS EN 1090 certification & ASNZS5131 certification.

Preferences:

Desired Candidate should join at the earliest and locally available in Qatar.

Transferable QID with NOC
