Materials Coordinator

Responsible for managing the flow of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient operations, and minimizing downtime. This role involves coordinating material requisitions, managing inventory, and overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials both onshore and offshore. Work closely with various teams, including procurement, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure materials are available when and where needed. Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and coordinating material storage and preservation.
• Material Control: Tracking material movements, ensuring proper documentation, and managing the flow of materials between different locations.
• Procurement Support: Assisting with the procurement process by coordinating material requisitions, following up on purchase orders, and expediting materials.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinating the transportation of materials, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate locations, and managing shipping schedules.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring materials are handled and stored safely, adhering to relevant safety standards and procedures.
• Communication and Coordination: Maintaining clear communication with various stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure smooth material flow.
• Offshore Operations Support: If working offshore, coordinating material supply and logistics for offshore platforms and vessels, including receiving, inspecting, and storing materials.
• Reporting: Preparing reports on material consumption, stock levels, and other relevant data.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and planning skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to interact with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems: Experience with ERP systems like SAP or similar platforms is often required.
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and procedures: Understanding of relevant regulations, safety protocols, and material specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in logistics and supply chain management: Familiarity with material handling, storage, and transportation processes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
