Purchasing Coordinator

Muscat, Oman

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Purchase Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be Integral to our procurement process, responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery. You will work closely with various departments to ensure we have the materials and services needed to meet our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders (POs) with accuracy and speed.
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve any issues related to deliveries, quality, or pricing.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse team to ensure adequate stock is available and to prevent shortages.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Generate reports on purchasing activities, spending, and vendor performance.
  • Market Research: Stay informed of market trends and price fluctuations to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with the finance, sales, and operations teams to align purchasing activities with company needs and budgets.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or similar role.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Experience with purchasing software or ERP systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to challenges.
