Job Purpose


The company is looking for an experienced professional who is highly motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership, that maintains the highest levels of professional integrity and ethical conduct while representing the company interests and managing high-value assets in the field.


The Site Materials Coordinator (SMC) is a designated, highly accountable on-site representative.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the SMC ensures that all activities—including receiving, segregation, storage, security, and sales loadouts—are executed with absolute adherence to company policies, safety standards, and contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


Responsibilities & Accountabilities


  • Supervise daily yard operations, ensuring all activities comply with the company safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Oversee material receiving, segregation, storage, and loadout processes to ensure accurate handling and documentation.
  • Provide the immediate, visible field presence required to enforce the established zero-incident safety culture.
  • Accountable for ensuring and maintains continuous HSE visibility and adheres to all SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and confirm that all required HSE inductions done to all personnel (Service Provider and buyers) accessing yard facilities and inventory delivery / collection points.
  • Monitor the Service Provider's handling of materials to ensure the correct segregation and containment of any potentially hazardous materials (HAZMAT), directly supporting the company’s environmental execution mandate.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and site activities, ensuring data integrity for reporting and audits.
  • Support asset valuation and sales preparation by coordinating with the Inventory and Sales teams.
  • Directly supervise and verify the delivered Inventory. This includes validating that off-loading is managed safely and that materials are placed in designated yard locations based on category, type, and space availability as per the company process and guidelines.
  • Conduct continuous surveillance and physical inspections to verify material segregation is executed to the highest standards, flagging any issues to prevent material mixing or downgrades.
  • Act as the first point of contact to arrange for inspection, verification, and provide timely accurate responses regarding material availability for repairs and repurposing.


  • Serve as the direct, on-site liaison, managing daily work plans and providing immediate operational direction to the Service Provider. Accountable for the on-site adherence, flagging any performance deviations to the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct frequent site visits and routine surveillance across all inventory locations, preparing and submit accurate monthly reports detailing yard occupancy, identifying potentially high value assets, yard security status (fence condition), and identifying any abandoned or openly stored items for escalation.
  • Act as the first point of contact to inspect, verify, and provide timely, accurate responses (location, weight, valuation) regarding material availability for potential re-deployment purposes, and directly supporting the Operations Manager’s asset cascading program.
  • Directly supervise the Service Provider's process for preparing and safely loading sold items (including Auction Items) onto buyer-provided vehicles. Accountable for ensuring the loading process is secure and non-hazardous.
  • Continuously monitor and verify weigh bridge operations during all loadouts to ensure accurate data capture. Responsible for the integrity and final verification of all outbound loading manifests and weigh tickets to prevent any potential revenue leakage.


Required Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management.
  • CIPS, a plus.


Experience

  • Minimum 3 Years of progressive field experience in industrial operations, supply chain, asset recovery, or the metals/recycling industry, preferably within Oil & Gas industry.
  • Preferred experience in a supervisory, field representative, or quality assurance roles involving direct oversight of third-party contractors or site field teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
