1. JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:

  • The role holder is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and implementation of a single integrated opportunity within a division with clear deliverables and expectations.


2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Core Responsibilities

  • Identifies stakeholders relevant to the task to generate full workplans and processes in collaboration with Enabler teams and representatives.
  • Develops an understanding of the assigned opportunity including understanding of the local situation as well as global trends and best practices to inform the approaches used in the context of work.
  • Reviews and operationalizes technical, financial and legal work structures for opportunities (e.g. feasibility studies, benchmarking relevant institutions, gap analysis etc.) and leads their performance in partnership with the identified program stakeholders.
  • Contributes to developing materials and presentations to deliver in workshops with various stakeholders.
  • Reports on own work performed to manage the output requirement of opportunities.
  • Leads the end-to-end implementation of opportunities individually or in support of Senior Implementation.
  • Leaders (as applicable) and enablers as well as sector stakeholders as per established work plans and expectations.
  • Remains abreast and conforms with Senior Managers’ workplans for the division and provides input on stakeholder management to the preparation of external stakeholder engagement plans manages engagement cadence as per established plans.
  • Tracks opportunity progress and provide periodic updates to the Senior Manager and operational leadership to devise the actions plans necessary to tackle identified challenges and difficulties in the opportunity assigned.
  • Leads the implementation of technologies, programs, policies and assessments in the context of the opportunity to sustain the demand for oil, aligning market demand for goods and products related to the division with stakeholders’ ability to meet demand and grow.
  • Performs work assignments within the assigned opportunity in conformance and alignment with plans and then shares back tactical inputs with the Senior Manager.
  • Informs the Senior Manager of emerging issues and difficulties to begin the escalation process of issues through the hierarchy when necessary.
  • Liaises with stakeholder officials to support their own implementation and change processes in aligning with program opportunities, plans and requirements.
  • Provides reviews and reports of work performed on status and progress of opportunities for alignment and compliance with established timelines, scopes and activities expected with the opportunity.
  • Reviews implementation plans and acts as liaison with concerned opportunities’ managers to align method and purpose from design through to implementation across the sector.
  • Highlights and builds inferences between implementation projects and opportunities to ensure knowledge sharing, experience transfers and overall team success.
  • Evaluates, with stakeholders and Managers, the success parameters, pain points and opportunity for improvement of opportunities and implementation plans.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering), or equivalent; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.


Experience:

  • 2-5 years in a in a project management role; Experience in the section’s industry is preferred.
