Job Summary

We are seeking a Materials Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will purchase raw materials and support supplies, and lead the warehouse team including shipping and receiving.

Duties

- Purchasing of raw materials as well as shop and office supplies

-Ensure customer orders are correctly pulled, packed and shipped on time

- Ensure physical and cycle count inventories are conducted regularly

- Review and adjust warehouse layout ensuring efficient flow and space utilization

- Supervise warehouse associates including shipping and receiving

- Monitor workplace performance and lead training

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

-Ensure all safety standards are known and met

-Other duties as assigned

Skills

- Strong interpersonal ability and communication skills

- Proven work experience in materials management

- Strong purchasing background required

- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

- Working knowledge of and implementation experience in materials management KPI’s

-Advanced spreadsheet user skills with strong analysis and problem solving skills

- Working knowledge of Aptean Southware ERP systems

-ASCM certification in CSCP or CPIM strongly preferred.

- 5 years of materials management experience required
