Performs overall Inventory Control functions, analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, cycle counts and recommends items for review for disposal. Coordinates with other Supply Chain functions to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, shipping and storage of goods. Coordinates and performs all facets of inventory management. Submits adjustments for inventory changes to include high value items. Monitors key performance indicators and coordinates across functional work teams to increase effectiveness of Weapon Handing Operation’s initiatives. Monitors and recommends actions for warehouse capacity management. Assures physical resources are available including equipment, tooling, support materials, appropriate work documents. Assures work is performed in accordance with approved procedures. Leads or participates in process improvement and modernization projects. May act for management in preparation of complex reports and correspondence. Performs, and is accountable for, special assignments and studies of various subjects as directed by management. Represents the Department on special committees. Responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of applicable Federal, State, Department of Energy (DOE), Corporate and Plant rules, regulations and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures. May recommend, prepare, and maintain operating procedures, systems, policies, and controls pertaining to the assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for developing, coordinating and performing training in area of responsibility. Detailed working knowledge of IPRO and Microsoft Excel preferred.
