Materials Manager (Supply Chain / Operations) - Nanakramguda (Hyderabad)

Organization: The Organisation Harley’s Fine Baking (https://www.harleys.com/), is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200+ people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Mumbai, Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000+ people over the next year.

Designation: Materials Manager (Supply Chain / Operations)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Materials Management, Food Technology, or related field. MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred).

Certifications:

• Six Sigma
• APICS / CPIM
• HACCP Training

Experience: Minimum 7+ years in materials management with 3+ years in food processing or FMCG manufacturing industry.

Job Profile: The Materials Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing raw materials, packaging, consumables, and supplies essential for food manufacturing operations. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted production, compliance with food safety standards, cost optimization, and timely distribution of finished products across India.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw and packaging materials.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels with FIFO/FEFO practices for perishable inputs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Collaborate with QA, Production, R&D, and Finance for material planning and availability.
• Drive cost control initiatives, waste reduction, and supplier performance improvement.
• Implement and manage ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory tracking.
• Prepare MIS reports on inventory, supplier performance, and cost trends.

Required Skills:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of raw materials and packaging in the food industry.
• Expertise in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of compliance standards (FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.

• Experience supporting new product development with alternate sourcing.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
