The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Prosecutor Ryan Mears, is setting new expectations in the criminal justice system and is committed to a fair and equitable system. The Trial Court Division prosecutes more than 29,000 cases annually and prosecutes more than 1 in 4 jury trials in the State. Role Overview:
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office seeks attorneys dedicated to public service, public safety, and fairness and justice for all who come into contact with the criminal justice system. The Sex Crimes and Domestic Violence Deputy Prosecutor is dedicated solely to the comprehensive disposition (from screening through sentencing) of all juvenile domestic violence and sexual assault cases where intimate or dating partner violence is the driving force behind the violence. This includes acts of physical violence as well as threats, property destruction, and the use of technology. The Deputy Prosecutor will also give presentations to school-aged youth and community organizations.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $85,000.00, but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
