Primary Objective :
- Manage and ensure HSSEQ compliance for assigned vessels according to internal and external standards, achieving and maintaining HSSEQ KPI's and performance targets.
Major Activities / Deliverables :
- Serve as the interface between MCV and Group management on HSSEQ issues.
- Represent HSSE in client meetings, liaise with authorities, and participate in external forums.
- Provide clear leadership to the safety team to deliver effective support and value to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure HSSE team members demonstrate positive safety behaviors, promoting the company's safety culture and performance.
- Set and monitor annual KPIs to enhance team performance, aligning with Group and Regional targets.
- Participate in safety meetings onboard vessels and ashore to encourage constructive discussions and management engagement.
- Induct new and current employees and crew on HSSEQ policies and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a high safety culture across all locations.
- Engage actively with employees on HSE issues and foster open dialogue.
- Contribute to HSE meetings and inspections, promoting safe working practices and control of work processes.
- Support the Company's Self-Verification Program (SVP) to meet Group KPIs and drive continual improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of regional performance data to the Group HSSEQ department.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage data submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Professional qualification or certification in QHSSE-related field.
- NEBOSH qualification preferred.
- DPA and CSO qualifications preferred.
Minimum Experience :
- At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing QHSSE programs, preferably with offshore supply vessels.
- Experience in client interactions regarding HSE matters and fostering HSE culture.
- Mariner experience is preferred.
Job-Specific Skills :
- Internal auditor certification for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Proven incident investigation leadership skills.
- Understanding of statutory requirements from bodies like Class, Flag, and Port State authorities.
- Good knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, and familiarity with standards such as MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISO, OHSAS, and vessel operation regulations.
- Experience interfacing with clients on HSE management and implementation.
- Strong communication skills focused on maintaining high HSE standards.
