MD Pathology - Part Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a Part-Time Consultant Pathologist (MD Pathology) to join our diagnostic team in Mumbai. The role involves performing accurate specimen analysis and providing expert diagnostic insights to support high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen analysis using laboratory tools and diagnostic equipment to study samples and perform tests on bodily fluids and tissue specimens.
• Examine samples for abnormalities indicating disease and communicate findings to the concerned medical teams.
• Review and validate test results using checklists, medical software, and, when needed, retesting for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and sign off pathology reports summarizing test findings, diagnostic conclusions, and recommendations.
• Offer diagnostic opinions and suggest possible clinical correlations or treatment considerations where applicable.
• Support ongoing efforts in research and quality improvement to enhance test accuracy and disease detection methods.
• Stay current with advancements in pathology, laboratory practices, and relevant clinical developments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MD (Pathology) from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the respective medical council.
• 2+ years of post-qualification experience preferred (open to fresh MDs with strong fundamentals).
• Strong diagnostic acumen and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and digital reporting tools.
• Availability for 2–4 hours daily in the evening (timings can be mutually discussed).

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
