Facilitate and implement quick corrective actions for all breakdown and preventive maintenance to achieve minimum downtime and maximum utilization of all equipment and other works

Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills
Education & Professional Qualification:
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years' relevent experience in the field of marine mechanical repair with well-known company;
- Shipyard experience will be preferred;
- Experience in overhauling of engines, valves, hydraulics, deck machinery winches, pumps and any marine mechanical equipment.
Geographic Experience:
N/A
Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of MS Office and web applications.
Language Skills:
- Working knowledge of English (verbal and written);
- Knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of ship repair yard functions and activities;
- Ability to read the installation, start up and operation manual and follow systems/equipment start-ups procedures and troubleshooting.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair works for the Heavy equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of the heavy machineries such as Telescopic cranes, on-Road trucks ,Terminal tractors, forklifts ,Wheel Loaders , trailers and other heavy equipment.
- Ensure that all preventive maintenance is conducted as defined in the system.
- Attend breakdowns reported from planning office / Engineering team on an
immediate basis.
- Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Perform overhauling for Engine, Transmission, PTO, Gearbox and differential.
- Dismantle/reassemble equipment (under supervision of Line Manager if required) as and when required.
- Read and understand operating manuals, service manuals, mechanical and hydraulic drawings.
- Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Perform work in a workshop and outside environment.
- Work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
