Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping machinery in top condition to maximize productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems using schematics and electrical testing tools.
  • Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC components.
  • Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
  • Maintain and repair excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues related to automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment operation while adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections.
  • Assemble new equipment or components following technical schematics and manufacturer specifications.
  • Support customer service efforts by providing expert advice on equipment maintenance and repairs to clients or internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in dealership settings or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar brands is a plus.
  • Skilled in welding, fabrication, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; customer service experience is advantageous. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
