Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct welding operations, including <LOCATION> welding techniques, to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
- Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments to analyze electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment history.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize machine performance and implement process improvements.
- Support safety protocols by inspecting equipment for hazards related to HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and other machinery; ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical circuits (including high voltage), and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, and HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Skilled in welding techniques including <LOCATION> welding; certification is preferred.
- Experience working with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to troubleshoot issues efficiently while supporting team needs.
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform complex repairs in a manufacturing setting.
- Effective communication skills in English; military background or industrial maintenance training is a plus.
