Villa Feliciana Medical Complex (VFMC)
, nestled in the heart of East Feliciana Parish in Jackson, Louisiana, provides compassionate, high-quality services to individuals living with chronic diseases, disabilities, terminal illnesses, and infectious conditions such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. Our goal is to create a homelike, safe environment where every patient receives personalized care designed to improve their quality of life.
The Maintenance Department at Villa Feliciana Medical Complex supports a system similar to a municipality. It provides services to seven emergency power plants, sewage pumping stations with a 5-acre oxidation pond, three lines of natural gas line, two electrical high voltage lines (13800 primary and 208 on the secondary), all electrical poles, transformers and streetlights, one 250-ton chillers & (3) York chillers (200-, 175-and 125-ton chillers), one 600 ton cooling tower, all related pumps for cooling and heating, four (8) MVB Modulating Vertical Boilers, pest control, maintains continuous surveillance and operates a public water system.
We are looking for a Mechanic 3 to join our Maintenance Department - a proactive, goal-oriented and focused team dedicated to keeping Villa Feliciana Medical Complex running smoothly!

Job Duties:
Job Duties and Other Information
As a Mechanic 3 You Will Be Responsible For:

Providing monthly inspections and servicing vehicles, backhoes, tractors, boom trucks, zero turn mowers, weed eaters and utility side by side vehicles, golf carts, etc.

Troubleshooting, testing and repairing electrical systems, electronic ignitions and fuel injection systems, etc.

Performing general repairs and maintaining physical structure to buildings, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems and other mechanical and related fields such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, pest control and building key program, rebuilding/maintaining locks and doorknobs. Troubleshooting, testing and repairing electrical systems. Electronic ignitions and fuel injection systems.

Performing electrical fabrication on specialized equipment.

Repairing, removing, installing, overhauling tractors and yard equipment as needed. Such as mufflers, hoses, blades, points, batteries, belts, plugs, etc.

Being a liaison between local parts and service centers to allow for a smoother operation and transition of vehicles and equipment.

Responsible for dismantling and inspecting transmissions, engines and air-cooled engines in all vehicles. Repairs or replaces as necessary such as rings, pistons, timing chains, rod bearings, main bearings, inserts, grind valves, electrical systems to include wiring and components, installing engines, mufflers, tail pipes, starters, oil pumps, fuel pumps, battery, battery cables, belts, hoses, push rods, gaskets, generators, alternators, universal joints, head gaskets, voltage regulators and other vehicle or equipment parts as needed.

Overhauling Hydraulic systems, air brakes, brake lines, wheel cylinders and master cylinders in all vehicles and equipment.
