Mechanic Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Mechanic Assistant to support our equipment maintenance operations. This position will assist the lead mechanic with inspection, repair, and upkeep of construction equipment, trucks, and small tools. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and grow within a construction company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanic with maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and small engines

• Perform routine tasks such as greasing, fueling, checking fluids, and changing filters

• Help diagnose mechanical issues and prepare equipment for repair

• Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area

• Pick up parts and supplies as needed

• Load and unload tools and materials

• Follow all company safety procedures

Requirements:

• Basic mechanical knowledge or strong willingness to learn

• Valid driver’s license (required)

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor / shop environments

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Construction or equipment experience is a plus but not required
