Mechanic Farm and Facilities

Job Summary
We are seeking a someone who is self-motivated and organized to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a basic mechanical knowledge and experience in various types of equipment and facilities repair. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and farm/facility issues efficiently.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on both on-road and off-road vehicles.
• Maintain and repair facilities lighting, plumbing and buildings.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems and pumps.
• Perform refrigeration preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors and forklifts.
• Operate farm equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing heavy lifting tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements

• Proven basic mechanic experience with gasoline and diesel engines.
• Basic hydraulic, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills.
• Must be able to be trained to operate forklifts and farm equipment.
• Clean drivers license required. Class B CDL preferred.
• Experience with HVAC systems is desirable.
• Basic welding ability is desirable.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Must perform timely preventive maintenance inspections and keep records.
• Must be self-motivated and organized.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
