Mechanical Coordinator

The Mechanical Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and safety of the electrical maintenance activities. He will also support in minimizing breakdowns in electrical equipment, improving mean time between failures (MTBF), maximizing reliability factor, optimizing cost and ensuring zero LTI.

1. Health, Safety and Environment

• Recognize and acknowledge safe behavior exhibited by team members;
• Take appropriate actions to eliminate safety hazards within own and teams work area;
• Consider impact on safety/environment as practices and procedures are developed and work is delegated.

2. People Management

• Define, guide and support both performance and development actions for respective employees within own scope of responsibility. In collaboration with HR and as per Business and Individual needs;
• Regularly review organizational capabilities and efficiency within own scope of responsibility;
• Lead, motivate, develop, and coach other team members;
• Lead by example to the team in promoting diversity inclusion and equal opportunities culture.

3. Internal Control

• Ensure Internal Control guidelines are followed, suggest improvements and test the processes and controls within own area of responsibility.

4. Competition and Law Compliance

• Act as role model for all Company regulations, including but not limited to Code of Business Conduct, Anti Bribery and Corruption, Conflict of Interest etc.

5. Role Specific

• Ensure the Risk Assessment and safety mandates are followed by all employees at all times;
• Make daily inspection of work areas and take immediate action to correct unsafe conditions;
• Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment;
• Ensure that proper safety measures are being adhered to at all times by all personnel;
• Manage, supervising and coaching subordinates in order to reach the most efficient engineering fashion to optimize malfunction and the stoppage as much as we can;
• Responsible for planning for daily/weekly schedule of the activities and to be sure that’s be executed;
• Manage people working under him and Ensure protective use of the crews;
• Responsible for updating maintenance history as per the WR/WO system and to maintain all relevant reports and records related to maintenance;
• Implement all preventive and predictive maintenance schedules which will ensure the smooth running of the plant which will increase marginal benefits compared to marginal cost Creative and autonomous in investigating, searching for solutions, and making decision;
• Carry out annual team appraisal, and tool box talks with team members regarding safety improvements and job requirements;
• Train technicians about plant system and safety to bring multi trade skills among the employees;
• Define all needs of area for budgeting and negotiate them with mechanical maintenance manager;
• Keep informed of general plant practices so as to ensure “on-call” duty;
• Responsible for the maintenance and well-being of the relevant equipment;
• Recommend technical improvements for cost reductions;
• Supervise tests off-load / on-load of equipment after work execution;
• Record adjustment measurements / anomalies observed on the equipment during work execution or inspection;
• Keep the highest efficiency of machinery steady via preventive maintenance;
• To ensure compliance with the ACert policies of the Policy Landscape in general and with the related ACert directives stipulated therein in particular, and to act and think in an open-minded, cross- functional and interdisciplinary way.

Education

• BSC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional English Knowledge second language native to Arabic/ Hindi would be an added advantage.

Experience

• 3-5 years mechanical experience in Cement or other related Continuous Process Heavy Industry;
• Good Knowledge of the Cement Manufacturing process or other related Continuous Heavy Industry;
• In-depth knowledge of practical engineering operations.
