Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and prototyping.
- Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T, and BOM preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, R&D) to ensure design feasibility.
- Conduct design validation, stress analysis, and simulations to optimize performance.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Maintain proper documentation of designs, revisions, and engineering changes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, sheet metal, surface modeling, drawings).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics).
- Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (mechanics, thermodynamics, materials).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design (freshers with strong SolidWorks skills may also apply).
- Exposure to product development lifecycle.
- Experience in automation, automotive, consumer products, or industrial equipment design is an advantage.
