The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. The role involves creating detailed drawings, performing simulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance, quality, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Conduct design calculations, simulations, and tolerance analysis to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
- Identify and resolve design issues, implement design changes, and maintain design revisions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Stay updated with the latest mechanical design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Provide technical support to project teams and clients as needed.
- Commissioning of the products at site
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles (mechanics, thermodynamics, material science).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
