Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented BIM Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Revit to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality mechanical designs and BIM models for various building projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage detailed mechanical BIM models using Autodesk Revit (HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems).
2. Produce accurate shop drawings, schedules, and fabrication details in line with project specifications.
3. Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
4. Implement BIM standards, templates, and protocols for mechanical systems.
5. Participate in clash detection and model coordination meetings.
6. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
7. Assist in project documentation, submittals, and as-built drawing preparation.
8. Support the integration of BIM workflows with project management and construction teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical BIM design and modeling.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting).
• Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection is a plus.
• Knowledge of local and international mechanical design codes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Understanding of BIM Level of Development (LOD) and BIM Execution Plans.
• AutoCAD proficiency for 2D drafting support.
