Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

1. Work on Product Development involving 3D body design and mechanical designs & concepts.

2. Carry out hands-on mechanical design, to various levels of detail, from conceptual feasibility studies till production handover including prototype assembly to prove design product’s desired results.

3. Conceptualizing alternate design or materials to reduce cost and at the same time maintain high standards of quality.

4. Work closely with other departments (manufacturing, marketing, purchase) to define project requirements, incorporate feedback, and support product development.

5. Should be willing to visit vendors personally and co-ordinate between them and the production team whenever needed.

6. Visualize modifications in the manufacturing processes for lean manufacturing, design various jigs, fixtures or processes which improve the quality of the product.

7. Preparation of the drawings and requisitions, which contain the applicable specifications for the mechanical design items.

8. Prototype design, execution, assembly & testing of Product / Equipment.

9. Write detailed reports and maintain accurate records including ERP software.

10. Keeping up with new manufacturing, materials and tools developments within area of expertise.

11. Participate in project teams as a disciplined engineer.
1. B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

2. 0-5 year work experience.

3. Proficient in mechanical, mathematical and technical skills.

4. Proficient with CAD softwares like Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS etc. along with GD&T.

5. Should be able to conduct mechanical assembly and prototyping to test result.

6. Have knowledge of various machining techniques of VMC, Turning, Fabrication, Molding.

7. Knowledge of Electronic / Mechanical Instrument testing.

8. Knowledge of materials, especially Aluminum & Steel alloys, and heat treatment process is preferable.

9. Good creativity, investigative and problem-solving skill with excellent attention to detail.

10. Ability to think logically and methodically.

11. Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

13. Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.

14. Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,737.97 - ₹50,000.00 per month
