**Job Purpose:**
- Design and assess technical drawings for the maintenance department for both maintenance work and continuous improvement initiatives
**Job Dimensions:**

**Responsibilities:**
- Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications when required
- Collect required designs from the different maintenance units and the maintenance head
- Review engineering designs prepared by his team for continuous improvement initiatives and for maintenance work
- Prepares inquiries, analyze and compares the inquiry quotations received Spares to assist the plant Superintendent in vendor and contractor selection when required
- Ensure that all documents follow the standards set by the company
- Control all draftsman for completion of drawings within stipulated time frame
**Reporting and Manuals:**
- Prepare progress reports on pending designs
- Ensure that all designs are kept in a record for future reference
- Prepare manuals for the document standards to be followed in all design documents
**Motivation and Employee Relations:**
- Provide strong leadership to the employees at the plants, ensuring high morale, team work and good employee relations, at all levels
- Motivate subordinates through training programs, enhance their skills and generate competition spirit to reach the internal national performance standard
- Proactively pursue personal training opportunities to deepen subject matter expertise and managerial skills fashion
- Assure that employee grievances are addressed in a timely
**Communications & Working Relationships:**
- KRA (Key Result Area) Efficiency of designs
- Timeliness and quality of reports and database

**Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:**
- QUALIFICATIONS: Engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- EXPERIENCE: 10+ years' experience in maintenance engineering design
- SKILLS: Independent thinking
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good English oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills - proficient Microsoft Office user
- Good Skills in SAP PM and MM module
- Good Knowledge in Design Software, AutoCAD, Solid works, Pro-Inventor etc.
- Good measurements analysis skill
- Good skills in drawings and blue prints reading and creations
