About the Role: We are a U.S.-based industrial automation company specializing in turnkey custom automation solutions for manufacturing clients across the automotive, aerospace, medical, and consumer goods industries. We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer located in India to work remotely with our U.S. engineering team to design and develop custom machinery and automated equipment. This role requires strong mechanical design fundamentals, experience in custom machine design, and a high level of proficiency with SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and custom automation machinery in SolidWorks, including part, assembly, and drawing files.
• Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure fully integrated automation solutions.
• Select components such as actuators, linear rails, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatics based on design requirements.
• Create accurate BOMs (Bills of Materials) and manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Participate in design reviews and support fabrication and assembly teams with documentation and issue resolution.
• Adhere to company design standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in custom automation or special purpose machinery.
• Expert-level proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components used in automation (e.g., pneumatics, conveyors, robotics integration).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to work during US business hours.
• Strong English communication skills are mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with motion systems, robotics, or machine vision integration.
• Familiarity with GD&T and ANSI/ISO drafting standards.
• Experience working with U.S.-based teams or clients.
• Exposure to ERP systems for BOM and part tracking.

Salary

• Monthly (INR): ₹1,05,600 - ₹2,11,200 ($1200- $2400)
