Position:
HVAC Design Engineer
Qualification:
B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
5 to 12 Years
Project Nature:
Commercial / Residential / Industrial
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Perform
heat load calculations
using software tools such as HAP and Carrier E20.
-
Select and size
AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, chillers, pumps, ducts,
and
piping networks
as per project requirements.
-
Determine
airflow (CFM), static pressure, and duct sizing
based on ASHRAE and ISHRAE standards.
-
Design
ventilation systems
(toilets, kitchens, basements, labs, etc.) ensuring proper exhaust and make-up air provisions.
-
Prepare and review
HVAC layout drawings, schematics, and as-built drawings
using AutoCAD or Revit.
-
Coordinate HVAC design with
architectural, electrical, plumbing, and structural
disciplines.
-
Prepare
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
, equipment schedules, and material submittals.
-
Support project and site teams with
technical clarifications, design modifications, and coordination drawings.
-
Conduct
site visits
to ensure installation aligns with design intent.
-
Participate in
client and consultant meetings
for design review and approvals.
-
Ensure HVAC designs comply with
ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, ECBC,
and
local authority norms.
-
Integrate
energy-efficient, acoustic, and indoor air quality (IAQ)
considerations in all designs.
-
Maintain proficiency in
AutoCAD, HAP, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, and MS Office tools.
