Mechanical Draftsman

Duties & Responsibilities :

1) Prepare detailed shop drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems based on IFC drawings and project specifications.

2) Develop as-built drawings reflecting site changes and final installations.

3) Review and interpret IFC drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

4) Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, MEP teams, and site staff to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.

5) Modify drawings as per site conditions, RFIs, and consultant comments.

6) Ensure all drawings comply with local authority regulations and project standards.

7) Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and documentation control.

8) Assist in preparing material submittals and quantity take-offs when required.

9) Support project teams during execution and handover stages.

10) Support BIM coordination and modeling using tools like Revit.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years UAE experience MEP drafting.
• Strong proficiency in: AutoCAD and Revit
• Good knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
• Familiarity with authority regulations and approval procedures in UAE.
