Mechanical Draftsman – Contracting Company

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to prepare, review, and update mechanical drawings for contracting projects. The candidate will support project teams by producing accurate shop drawings and as-built drawings in line with project specifications and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems
• Develop detailed layouts, sections, and schematics as per project requirements
• Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments and site conditions
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers and site teams for drawing accuracy
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and local authority standards
• Maintain drawing registers and document control
• Support material submittals and coordination drawings
• Attend coordination meetings when required

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering
• 5–7 years experience as Mechanical Draftsman in contracting / construction companies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit MEP is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems
• Experience with UAE projects and local authority requirements preferred
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Immediate joiners preferred
