Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to support solar PV project design, installation, and maintenance activities. The role focuses on the mechanical aspects of solar projects, including mounting structures, module alignment, wind load analysis, and thermal considerations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate mechanical systems and structures for solar PV installations (e.g., mounting systems, tracking systems, foundations).
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, layouts, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Conduct structural and wind load analysis for ground-mounted and rooftop PV systems.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical components on-site.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Perform quality inspections of mechanical works and ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Assist in the procurement of mechanical components and materials.
• Review vendor documentation and participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) as required.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and international standards (ASCE, IS, IEC, etc.).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and operation phases.
• Support documentation processes such as preparation of method statements, installation manuals, and test reports.
  
  

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

2–5 years of relevant experience in the solar energy industry.
