Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components using advanced engineering tools and principles. Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and schematics utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
- Perform mechanical analysis including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to validate design integrity.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical issues and optimize system performance.
- Create and review technical drawings in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design, integration, and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize programming tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and CNC for automation and control system development.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during design and manufacturing processes.
- Support project scheduling efforts to meet deadlines and deliverables efficiently.
- Assist in prototyping, testing, and validating mechanical components or systems in laboratory or manufacturing environments.
- Document technical specifications and maintain detailed records of design iterations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience with mechanical design software including SolidWorks and Creo.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles, schematics drafting, and system design documentation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and CNC machining.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), CAD drafting, and mechanical analysis tools like MATLAB or Simulink is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of quantum engineering is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across engineering disciplines and project teams.
