Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior QC Mechanical Inspector holding a valid CSWIP 3.2.2 certification, with proven experience on QatarEnergy projects. The candidate must be a Mechanical Engineer, locally available in Qatar, and ready for immediate joining. The role involves leading mechanical inspection activities across fabrication, installation, testing, and pre-commissioning phases in Oil & Gas projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all mechanical inspection activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and QatarEnergy standards
- Review, approve, and implement Mechanical ITPs, method statements, and quality plans
- Inspect fabrication, erection, and installation of:
- Piping systems
- Pressure vessels
- Static and rotating equipment
- Review and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications related to mechanical works
- Supervise and evaluate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Monitor hydrostatic, pneumatic testing, flushing, cleaning, and mechanical completion activities
- Handle NCRs, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions
- Interface directly with QatarEnergy representatives, EPC contractors, and third-party inspectors
- Prepare and review mechanical dossiers, test packs, punch lists, and final handover documentation
- Ensure all activities comply with HSE, QA/QC, and contractual requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 (Senior Welding Inspector) certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects
- Previous experience with QatarEnergy projects is mandatory
- Strong background in mechanical fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning
- Experience leading inspection teams and managing client interfaces
- Locally Available in Qatar with a Valid QID
