Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within mechanical systems and develop effective solutions.
- Design and simulate mechanical components and systems using tools such as SolidWorks, CAD, and Simulink.
- Develop system schematics and technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards.
- Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise automation processes.
- Utilise MATLAB and LabVIEW for data analysis, system modelling, and control system development.
- Perform system design tasks, including concept development, testing, and validation of mechanical components.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems.
- Create detailed documentation of design processes, test procedures, and technical reports.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and general schematics drafting.
- Experience with system design, including the utilisation of Simulink for modelling dynamic systems.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise manufacturing tolerances.
- Familiarity with programming PLCs for automation applications.
- Competence in MATLAB and LabVIEW for data acquisition and control system development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
