Mechanical Engineer

Possess a working knowledge of pertinent wastewater regulations, knowledge of effective installation of new equipment such as pumps, valves, flow meters, probes, and other system related equipment

Manages and coordinates all on-site subcontractor or direct hire superintendent activities for compliance with the CPM schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with subcontract requirements

Supports the overall water and wastewater operations

Ensures compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, codes, maintenance manuals and government regulations, including NFPA 25

Serves as Subject Matter Expect in wastewater operations, including strict adherence to applicable regulations

Supports the development and deployment of water resource strategies focused on water quality, conservation and vulnerability assessments

Directly supervises employees including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Works jointly and collaboratively with all Facilities Maintenance staff to ensure a safe and adequate water supply

Responds to both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, as needed

Reads, interprets and updates blueprints related to water and wastewater systems
