Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Planning: Develop and integrate MEP system designs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarms) for buildings, analyzing needs and loads.
• Coordination: Work with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth system integration and adherence to the overall building concept.
• Technical Execution: Oversee installation, conduct inspections, ensure quality control, and manage subcontractors and site staff.
• Compliance & Safety: Verify all systems meet local building codes, safety standards (HSE), and energy efficiency regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, maintenance manuals, and manage project documentation (drawings, records).
• Maintenance & Support: Provide technical support, plan maintenance, handle emergency call-outs, and troubleshoot issues in existing facilities.

Core Skills Required

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of MEP systems, load calculations, and equipment selection.
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office.
• Project Management: Planning, coordination, problem-solving, and communication.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of building codes and safety standards.

Typical Systems Managed

• Mechanical: HVAC, ventilation, pumps, chillers, piping.
• Electrical: Power distribution, lighting, generators, fire alarms, low-voltage systems.
• Plumbing: Water supply, drainage, waste management, sanitation.
