Mechanical Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Protection Maintenance Engineer to oversee daily site operations, manage maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical, and coordination skills, along with hands-on experience in the active fire protection field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily work of supervisors, technicians, and helpers at the site.
• Review the Preventive Maintenance (PPM) plan and schedule the team’s daily activities accordingly.
• Check contract terms, prepare invoices, and follow up on payments.
• Monitor team activities to ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the given timeframe.
• Manage and prioritize call-outs within the allotted team effectively.
• Track progress and timelines of ongoing site work, and report updates to the office.
• Prepare rectification reports , follow up for client approvals, and ensure timely completion of work.
• Attend 24/7 emergency call-outs with the team, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
• Provide daily status updates to the Manager regarding all site activities.
• Attend PPM, rectification, and fit-out surveys; discuss and prepare quotations accordingly.
• Plan and assign maintenance, testing, and repair work to team members.
• Inspect and ensure proper functioning of all fire alarm and fire-fighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, UAE Fire Code, and company policies during all site work.
• Maintain strong relationships with all team members to promote teamwork and contribute to project and company success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 -3 years of UAE experience in the active fire protection field (mandatory).
• Sound knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Codes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and related documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
