Mechanical Engineer

Job overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a comprehensive, all-round background in mechanical systems design, MEP coordination, and project execution. The ideal candidate has a proven track record working on high-rise and multi-story building projects within the UAE and brings in-depth knowledge of local codes, standards, and construction practices.
Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and BMS for high-rise structures
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (civil, electrical, architectural) during all project phases
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues on-site
• Lead value engineering exercises and provide cost-effective mechanical solutions
• Manage subcontractors and equipment vendors, reviewing technical specifications and material approvals
• Produce progress reports and attend coordination meetings with clients and consultants

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in the UAE — mandatory
• Demonstrated experience on high-rise / multi-story building projects — mandatory
• Must have pervious experience across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and/or BMS(Testing and Installation ) as construction works— mandatory
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or other engineering design software
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team environment
• Valid UAE driving license is a plus
