Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to mechanical works.
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical installations, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and related systems.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to mechanical works.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, project requirements, and safety standards.
  • Review subcontractor work progress, measurements, and payment applications.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities of mechanical systems.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and records related to mechanical works.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction projects, preferably in building construction.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and MEP systems.
  • Experience in project execution, site supervision, and coordination with consultants and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements and construction standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE/GCC construction experience preferred.
  • Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
  • Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or villa projects is preferred.
