Mechanical Engineer - Construction & Fit-out

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in construction and interior fit-out projects, responsible for managing mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and coordination with other trades to ensure timely, quality, and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical & Fit-Out Execution

• Oversee site execution of mechanical works for construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Supervise installation of HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Coordination & Site Management

• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, architectural, electrical, and fit-out teams.
• Work closely with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical and site issues.
• Attend site meetings and inspections with consultants and clients.

Drawings & Technical Review

• Review mechanical shop drawings, material submitting, and technical documents.
• Identify clashes and coordinate resolutions with other disciplines.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings.

Quality, Testing & Commissioning

• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout execution.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC and other mechanical systems.
• Ensure proper snagging, de-snagging, and handover documentation.

Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Prepare and monitor work schedules for mechanical activities.
• Track progress and report delays, risks, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate timely material delivery and manpower deployment.

HSE & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, local authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Implement approved method statements and risk assessments on site.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail projects preferred.
• UAE experience required

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of HVAC calculations and system selection (preferred).
• Familiar with local authority codes and standards.
• Good understanding of testing & commissioning procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
