Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance & Reliability)

Salary: PKR 55,000 – 70,000 (Based on experience and technical capability)
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Schedule: 5 working days per week (Mon-Fri)
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime: Paid / Approved as per operational requirement

About the Role

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and strengthening preventive maintenance systems in a production/industrial environment.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on maintenance engineering, problem-solving, and reliability improvement work rather than purely desk-based roles.

Key Objectives (What Success Looks Like)

• Reduction in equipment downtime through structured maintenance planning
• Improved execution of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules
• Accurate and consistent downtime reporting & analysis
• Effective technical decision-making in spare parts and material procurement
• Faster response and resolution of maintenance-related breakdowns

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules
• Maintain and analyze downtime reports, identifying root causes and recurring failures
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and propose corrective actions
• Support improvement of maintenance systems to enhance equipment reliability and uptime
• Assist in technical procurement, ensuring materials meet engineering specifications
• Conduct market/vendor visits when required for sourcing unavailable or critical materials
• Verify technical quality of purchased mechanical components before approval
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation for audits and management reporting

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance systems
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and basic Reliability Engineering
• Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to analyze downtime data and identify failure patterns
• Strong decision-making in technical purchasing situations
• Good communication and coordination with cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience

• 1–4 years in maintenance / industrial engineering (fresh engineers with strong technical skills may also apply)

Work Environment
