Mechanical Engineer (Msheireb Properties)

A Mechanical Engineer in Msheireb Properties mainly works on MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for large-scale smart city and real estate projects like Msheireb Downtown Doha.

Core Responsibilities:

MEP Systems Design & Review

Design and review mechanical systems such as:

HVAC (air conditioning and ventilation)

Chilled water systems

Fire protection systems

Ensure compliance with Qatar building codes and sustainability standards

Project Supervision

Monitor contractors during installation of mechanical systems

Ensure work is done according to approved drawings and timelines

Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams

Maintenance & Facilities Support

Support operation and maintenance of:

Commercial buildings

Residential complexes

Smart city infrastructure

Troubleshoot system failures and recommend improvements

Quality Control & Testing

Inspect mechanical systems before handover

Conduct testing & commissioning of HVAC and other systems

Ensure systems meet performance and safety standards

Safety & Compliance

Follow HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies

Ensure safe installation and operation of equipment

Support sustainability goals (green buildings, energy efficiency)

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare technical reports and project updates

Review shop drawings and technical submissions

Maintain records of maintenance and system performance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in:

MEP systems / building services

Construction or real estate projects

Knowledge of HVAC systems and building codes

Software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
