Mechanical Engineer – Plug Valve Product Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development of plug valves from concept through validation, applying modern engineering methodologies.
• Design innovative technical solutions that achieve industry-leading sealing, torque control, and corrosion resistance.
• Establish and maintain a knowledge database of historical faults and solutions to accelerate problem-solving across the team.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen team capabilities through training and technical guidance.
• Develop and standardize design and evaluation procedures to ensure consistent quality in new product launches.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Hands-on plug valve design experience at leading companies (FMC, SPM, or equivalent).
• Proven ability to independently lead the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to field validation.
• Strong knowledge of API, ISO, and other relevant valve design standards.
• Deep expertise in sealing materials (PTFE, rubber, etc.) with a record of solving erosion and sealing challenges.
