Position Objective:

To ensure the smooth, timely, and quality erection of steel work duly fabricated,  galvanized and Painted, at our Rak Plant  through strong technical coordination, disciplined site management, and close monitoring of drawings, inspections, and manpower performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing & Layout Control

  • Once the order is received,  Review and verify all fabrication, layout, and erection drawings prior to release.
  • Coordinate with in-house draftsmen to prepare, revise, and control fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure accuracy of layouts and alignment with site conditions.
  • Submit drawings for contractor/consultant approval and maintain complete approval records.
  • Track delays from contractors the approvals of drawing delays and issue proper notes to safeguard company interests.

2. Coordination with RAK Fabrication Plant

  • Follow up regularly with RAK plant on fabrication, galvanizing, and painting job status.
  • Conduct periodic inspections — physically or virtually — to confirm readiness and quality.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and photographic documentation.
  • Ensure dispatch planning is aligned with the help of Planning Engr attached to Rak factory with erection sequence and project schedule.

3. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise erection of fabricated, galvanized, and painted materials at site as per approved drawings and safety norms.
  • Monitor site progress, quality, and productivity on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate logistics for timely delivery and sequence of materials.
  • Ensure correct storage and protection of galvanized and painted components and also mislenieous items such as various hardwear.

4. Site Manpower Management & Productivity

  • Supervise and guide site engineers, foremen, and technicians under his control.
  • Maintain records of daily output per manpower category and verify productivity levels.
  • Hold regular meetings with site staff to review performance, motivate, and enforce discipline where required.
  • Ensure erection progress meets planned schedules and targets.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper site documentation — daily reports, inspection reports, i log books, photos, and QA/QC records.
  • Ensure all communications with contractors and consultants are properly documented.
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress and productivity reports to the Head of Division.

6. Client, Consultant & Contractor Interface

  • Attend site meetings and coordinate technical inspections.
  • Follow up on drawing approvals, clarifications, and inspections with all parties.
  • Ensure smooth communication to avoid misunderstandings or delays.

Progress Billing & Site Measurement Control

  • Take site measurements regularly and verify with approved drawings.
  • Prepare joint measurement sheets with the contractor’s engineer and obtain approvals.
  • Ensure monthly progress billing is raised on time with all supporting documentation (measurements, photos, approvals).
  • Coordinate with accounts team to ensure certified payments are received promptly.

7. Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce all QA/QC and safety procedures for fabrication and erection works.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken for any non-conformities or safety violations.
